THE NIGHT OF PROGRESSIVE MUSIC in “Relax” club

PROGday12 December 2003 a group of 150-200 people (according to unofficial sources) gathered at the entrance of Relax club. These had been led there by the longing for refined intellectual exercises in the field of music. Their Mass Media-tortured brains craved an exquisite musical satisfaction.

The event was timed to coincide with the release of Alexander Kostarev Group live album Live@InProg. Simultaneously, there was a clandestine presentation of the recently released IF mini-album News From the Other Side – the leftovers of the limited edition have been invisibly distributed.

The arranger and mastermind of the happening Vladimir “Impaler” Milovidov greeted the guests pointing out that the concert should not be thought of as festival, as the annual progfest known as InProg shall take place next spring – on a much larger organizational and geographical scale – while the participants of the present event were all Moscow-based with the only exception of Romislokus (the guests from Kirov).

Invisible Front were the opening band and played the short version of the program:
Invisibly Join
Morning  Combinatorica
Corridor
From Where the Wind Blows
Autumn Velvet
R U N N N

The progressive audience very warmly received our emotional message and even demanded more. In fact all the people present that night were distinguished by unanimity, friendliness, intelligence – and, pleasantly, there were not too few of them. A clever, responsive, emotional audience brought up on good music – what else to hope for when you come on stage? Well, maybe for good, comfortable sound – but that went without a hitch. The sound-engineer’s careful, unobtrusive attitude deserves a special thank you.

We would like to thank Vladimir Impaler, InRock magazine and Relax Club for arranging and presenting the event on a high level, as well as for the attention and help they rendered us.

Everyone feels the night was a success

See you again soon!
